Fundraising Essentials

In this session we will cover the mindset and metrics that will support you pitching your project for funding opportunities. Join us to help shift out of scarcity mindset, solidify organizational foundations, and learn about sources of funding to support your work.

This is part one of a four-part Fundraising Made Easy training series for food systems advocates in the Global Majority created by 50by40 and Apex Advocacy.

In this series, you will…

  • Develop a better understanding of fundraising principles and effective strategies for raising funds.

  • Learn the best practices for communicating with donors and establishing long term relations with donors.

  • Improve pitching and proposal writing skills.

  • Gain an in-depth knowledge on issues with respect to global food systems, areas that are getting funded and opportunities.

We will offer two time options with different speakers to accommodate for a range of time zones across our global community.

To join the Fundraising Essentials session facilitated by Monica Chen on December 8th at 4pm PST, click here to register. To join the Fundraising Essentials session facilitated by Ms. Nisha Purshottam on December 8th at 12pm IST, click here to register.

We recommend you attend the session that aligns most with your schedule and interests, though you are welcome to attend both sessions if you desire, as content will be slightly different based on each speaker's expertise and engagement from the audience helping guide the conversation.

The series will be facilitated via Zoom and you will receive an email with the links to join each session. If you are unable to attend live, the recordings will be sent out to registered participants.
